Every person is created in the image of God and is designed to live in a spiritual community.

Special Needs Ministry

A place where everyone belongs

We want people of every ability to know Jesus, grow in faith, and belong as part of the body of Christ.

Your child can worship, learn, and make friends here, and so can you. Before your first Sunday, our team will learn what your child needs and plan with you, so we are ready when you arrive. Adult leaders pass a background check, and every leader completes MinistrySafe abuse-prevention training.

Have questions or want to plan your first Sunday? Email Stacy Meier, our Special Needs Coordinator, at stacy@nhbentonville.com.

Sensory Room

If your child needs a break from their classroom, our sensory room is open to kids of any age. It has calming toys and activities so your child can reset and rejoin their friends.

1 to 1 Buddy

A trained buddy can pair with your child, or with an adult of any age, who needs extra support on Sunday mornings. We want every person to worship and learn alongside their peers.

rEcess

rEcess is changing the story of disability by loving people and equipping others to serve families affected by disability. On the third Friday of each month, rEcess gives kids with disabilities and their siblings a night of fun, and gives their parents a night off.

bEfriend

bEfriend builds friendships between people with and without disabilities that might not happen otherwise. Many adults with disabilities spend most of their time with family or paid staff. We believe in a different story, where friendships are freely given and life is shared. We meet on the first Thursday of every month.
