Kids Ministry in Bentonville

Kids Ministry is for infants to 4th grade. It meets during both Sunday services, 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. Your kids worship, hear a Bible lesson taught at their level, and spend the hour with leaders who know their names. Adult leaders pass a background check, every leader completes MinistrySafe training, and every child checks in at a secure station. Registering is optional. You are welcome to just come.

Check In Your Kids

  1. Take your family to the check-in station.
  2. A Check-in Host will help you get the right stickers.
  3. Your child gets a name sticker on their back. You keep the matching guardian sticker. You’ll need it at pick-up.

  1. A Check-in Host will guide you to the correct room for your child.
  2. Meet the leaders and make sure your child is comfortable.
  3. Then head to the service.

If we need you during the service, we’ll text or call the number you gave at check-in. Step out, and a staff member or volunteer will walk you to your child. Kids are always welcome to sit with you in the service, too.

  1. After the service, head to your child’s classroom door and wait outside.
  2. Show your guardian sticker to a leader.
  3. The leader will bring your child out with their things.

Your Child's Safety

Here is what we do every time your child is in our care, so you can worship with peace of mind.

Screened and trained leaders

Every adult who serves with kids passes a criminal background check before serving and renews it every two years. Every leader age 14 and older completes MinistrySafe abuse-prevention training and renews it every three years. Student helpers under 18 always serve under the direct supervision of an approved adult.

Two adults, always

No adult is ever alone with a child. Classrooms stay unlocked and visible through windows or open doors, and only authorized people are allowed in kids' areas.

Secure check-in

You receive a guardian sticker that matches your child's name tag. We release your child only to the adult holding the matching sticker. If the computers are ever down, we use backup stickers.

We reach you fast

If your child needs you, we text or call the number you gave at check-in. Leave the service and a staff member or volunteer will take you to your child.

Allergies and health

Add allergies or medical needs to your child's profile and they print on your child's name tag at check-in. Please keep your child home if they have had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours (fever-free without medicine).

Support for every child

Trained 1 to 1 Buddies serve alongside children who need extra support, so every child can learn and worship with their friends.

Nursing Mothers’ Room

The Nursing Mothers’ Room is off the main lobby, with a video feed of the service. You can nurse or settle your baby there. It isn’t staffed.

1 to 1 Buddy

If your child has special needs or needs extra help, we’ll pair them with a trained buddy on Sunday mornings so they can worship and learn alongside friends. Email Stacy Meier to set it up.

Serve in Kids Ministry

Every Sunday, kids hear about Jesus from leaders who show up for them. You can lead a class, help at check-in, or care for babies in the nursery. We train every volunteer and pair you with an experienced leader.
