Hospitality

The first faces guests see on Sunday

Most first-time guests decide whether to come back before the sermon starts. You can be the reason they do. Hospitality is more than a task. It is how our church obeys Romans 12:13: “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”

What You Would Do
Parking. Help people find a spot and point guests to the reserved parking out front.
Greeters. Welcome people at the front doors and in the auditorium.
Coffee. Set up the coffee and keep the donuts stocked.
Connection Center. Welcome first-time guests, answer questions, and help families find kids check-in.
Offering and communion. Serve the church during the service.

We will train you before you serve.

Being a part of the hospitality crew has not only brought me great joy in serving, it has also facilitated the building of relationships within the church body. Before joining the hospitality team, I didn’t know many people and felt unfulfilled in the area of fellowship. Now, I feel connected and involved, and my spiritual growth has flourished as a result.

- Taylor Orsburne, Hospitality Coordinator

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 (ESV). To be able to serve at New Heights gives us great joy. It allows us to serve as Jesus did and keep our hearts turned to him.

"There is “no place on earth” I would rather be on Sunday morning. Watching all the brothers and sisters coming in to worship our Lord is precious to me!"
